The University of North Dakota’s Nonprofit Leadership Student Association (NLSA) students are hosting a furniture drive for Prairie Harvest Mental Health and their thrift store the Home Place.

The NLSA students are asking for donations of gently used furniture including dressers or shelves, chairs, couches and lamps.  In addition to major furniture, smaller items such as coffee and end tables, television stands, microwave and microwave stands and bedside tables will also be accepted.

Donations can be dropped off at one of nine drop off zones located on UND’s campus.  A map of the drop off locations is located on the UND NLSA’s Facebook page

This event benefits Prairie Harvest Mental Health, a local organization that promotes the independence and enhanced quality of life for adults with serious mental illness Grand Forks. The Home Place Thrift Store on South Washington is a division of Prairie Harvest Mental Health. The store exists to provide customers with affordable goods and clothing and to support the work of Prairie Harvest Mental Health.

Please consider donating gently used furniture by visiting one of our drop zones from May 9-13.  Donations will be picked up daily between 1-5 p.m.

The NLSA is affiliated with the UND College of Arts and Sciences Nonprofit Leadership Program and helps to meet required competencies for student understanding of nonprofit organizations, the nonprofit’s role in meeting human needs, and the diversity of groups in world society.
